Land Rover wedding car, birds in the corsages, this couple loves nature!
Jorrit and Merel were married in the beautiful summer last year. We have known Jorrit for quite a few years, since back in the days when we stocked shelves together at the local Albert Heijn. For those who do not know Jorrit, he is a passionate birdwatcher. This turns out to be a very handy thing when looking for great photography spots, as Jorrit knows many beautiful places around the Netherlands.
Instead of couples asking us for location ideas, he was the one putting the ideas on the table! For their Loveshoot, he took us to a stunning little spot with old trees and an old rustic shed in the Biesbosch that we literally never would have found! And so for the photoshoot on their wedding day, we arrived at a beautiful forest near Garderen, fully convinced it would be a great location – and he did not let us down!
Merel also loves nature. When Jorrit surprised her with a Land Rover as a wedding car, she was very happy with his choice, which I have to say, suited them very well! The weather forecasts for their wedding day were somewhat doubtful, but it turned out being a perfect day.
Their wedding day was entirely in the theme of nature and of course, birds! But with a bride named Merel (a Dutch name for a type of bird), you just can’t do it any other way. The majority of the day was spent in the beautiful back garden of their Uncle and Aunt’s home, with a delicious lunch and dinner, sharing the day with special friends and family. Having time to relax and take it easy on your wedding day is really important, and we thought this couple nailed it when planning their day!
During the evening wedding service in the church there was also a beautiful moment during one of the songs, when the bride sang a song and the bridegroom played the piano. Finally, a great party with all their extended friends and family in the de Blokhut in Putten.
In short, a fantastic wedding day and a beautiful bride and groom!
