Rosemarijn and David were married last summer. Their wedding proved that with some simple vases, beautiful flowers and some wood cuttings, you can create a beautiful, elegant wedding, without spending thousands of euros.
In Australia we lived less than a fifteen minute drive from the beach. Almost every wedding we photographed there, included taking pictures at the beach. In the Netherlands, however, we were yet to experience this until last September.
Jorrit and Merel were married in the beautiful summer last year. We have known Jorrit for quite a few years, since back in the days when we stocked shelves together at the local Albert Heijn. For those who do not know Jorrit, he is a passionate birdwatcher. This turns out to be a very handy thing when looking for great photography spots, as Jorrit knows many beautiful places around the Netherlands.
Before the summer we were honoured to photograph some beautiful weddings. Now that the holidays are over and almost all weddings have been edited and delivered, it is high time to write some blogs about these beautiful couples. We’ll start with the wedding of Rob and Romy, that took place in Maarsbergen last May.
Michiel & Rachel got married last December. We started this dark but cozy winter morning at the parents’ houses of the bride and groom. It was very windy outside but we didn’t notice this at all inside the house. Rachel was peacefully drinking a cup of tea while getting her hair and make-up done. We’d decided to take photos at the Energiehuis in Dordrecht. It’s become a well-known location for us, but it’s still a beautiful building. For the past year and a half, Michiel and Rachel have been busy rebuilding their classical dutch house in Papendrecht. So the classical and rustic atmosphere of the Energiehuis fit well with this bride and groom.
