In Australia we lived less than a fifteen minute drive from the beach. Almost every wedding we photographed there, included taking pictures at the beach. In the Netherlands, however, we were yet to experience this until last September.
Sometimes, many of the weddings we photograph are all in a similar area, but this year, every wedding was completely different. This wedding took us to Nieuw-Vennep in beautiful North Holland. The groom arrived to pick up his bride from her family home in a beautiful little wedding car.
Finally the time had come. Ilse and Laurence had decided to get married. Ilse I have known since high school and since we returned to the Netherlands our friendship has continued to grow. So it was special that we could design their wedding card together.
The journey of creating a unique birth announcement card.
I was pregnant with baby number 3! Exciting, but then came the fun but oh so difficult part: design the birth announcement card! Because after 2 completely different designs for our first two children, you want something unique and different for baby number 3.
Jorrit and Merel were married in the beautiful summer last year. We have known Jorrit for quite a few years, since back in the days when we stocked shelves together at the local Albert Heijn. For those who do not know Jorrit, he is a passionate birdwatcher. This turns out to be a very handy thing when looking for great photography spots, as Jorrit knows many beautiful places around the Netherlands.
Before the summer we were honoured to photograph some beautiful weddings. Now that the holidays are over and almost all weddings have been edited and delivered, it is high time to write some blogs about these beautiful couples. We’ll start with the wedding of Rob and Romy, that took place in Maarsbergen last May.
It’s been a while since our last blog post. That does not mean that it has been quiet here though! It is sometimes much easier to post a few photos on Facebook than to write a useful and interesting blog. And then came the holidays and two birthdays …. Before you know it, it’s already February 2017! Two weeks ago I visited family van Genderen to see how their picture on scaffolding wood turned out. When I walked in it was hanging beautifully on the wall. Time to make a blog about the photo shoot and the end result!
